Applicability
This privacy statement applies to all privacy-sensitive information or personal data that is provided to us, for example via the contact form or agreements that are concluded with us. We attach great importance to the privacy of our customers and therefore exercise the greatest possible care in handling and protecting personal data. We process data in accordance with the conditions set out in the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Cycling4Climate Belgium is the controller within the meaning of the GDPR with regard to the processing of personal data. This means that only we determine which personal data is processed, for what purpose and in what way. We are responsible for ensuring that the personal data is processed in a proper and careful manner in accordance with the GDPR. In this privacy statement, we explain which data we process and for what purposes it is used.

- First and last name
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Birthplace
- Address
- Telephone number
- Email address
- IP address of a website visitor
- Bank account
Purpose and bases of processing personal data
We process personal data for the following purposes:
- Executing an agreement
- Handling a payment
- Sending our newsletter
- To be able to call or e-mail if this is necessary for the execution of our services
- To inform you about changes to our services
- Offer to create an account
- Creating a fundraiser profile
We do not store personal data longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which data is collected.
Provision to third parties
We will only share personal data with third parties if this is necessary for the purposes mentioned above. Disclosure to third parties may be necessary for the performance of the agreement we have concluded, necessary for the representation of a legitimate interest of ours or necessary to comply with any legal obligation to which we are subject. We enter into a processing agreement with companies that process data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of the data. We remain responsible for this processing. Outside of the above situations, we only provide personal data to other third parties with explicit permission.
Third parties to whom we disclose personal data
Mailchimp
We use Mailchimp to send newsletters. The names and email addresses of participants are used for this purpose.
Commercial purposes
We may use personal data for commercial purposes. For example, to provide further information about our services, relevant information from carefully selected organizations. Notification will only take place via the registered e-mail address. If no information is desired about relevant products or services, this can easily be indicated by clicking on “unsubscribe” in the received email.
Data will not be sold or shared with third parties for commercial purposes, unless explicit permission has been given to do so.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. Opting out of these cookies is possible by setting the internet browser so that it no longer stores cookies. In addition, all information that has previously been stored via the settings of your browser can also be deleted.

Cookies from Google, as part of the “Analytics” service. This provides reports on the quality and effectiveness of the website. We use Google Analytics in the manner prescribed by the Belgian Data Protection Authority. As a result, no prior permission is required for use.

Necessary for the technical operation of the website and ease of use. These cookies do not infringe on privacy that require prior consent.
Viewing, correcting or deleting personal data
You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. In addition, you have the right to withdraw any consent for data processing or to object to the processing of your personal data. You have the right to data portability if we have digital personal data that we either process with your consent or process in order to perform an agreement we have entered into with you.
This means that you can submit a request to us to send the digital personal data that we store in a readable computer file to you or someone else.
You can send a request for inspection, correction, deletion, data transfer of personal data or request for withdrawal of consent or objection to the processing of personal data to: info@climateclassic.be
To ensure that the request for access is correct, we ask you to send a copy of proof of identity. In this copy, black out the passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip with numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect privacy. We will respond to the request as soon as possible, no later than within four weeks.
We also mention the possibility of submitting a complaint to the national supervisory authority, the Belgian Data Protection Authority.

We take the protection of personal data seriously and take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.
